A small browser utility
Leave yourself a way back.
Choose a pause, set a boundary, and keep one clear next action ready for your return.
1. Make a plan
Put the screen down or look away. Decide what you will do before starting the timer.
2. Take your pause
Ready. You can finish before the timer ends.
No sounds or notifications. Notes stay in this tab’s memory and disappear when you reload or close it. Nothing is sent to a server.
3. Return to one small action
Use the boundary as a choice
A stopping note makes the return concrete. Name an action you can begin, rather than the entire job: “read the last paragraph” gives you a starting place; “finish the report” leaves another decision to make.
The timer runs only while this page remains open. It uses an end time rather than counting interval callbacks, so a background tab can catch up when the browser gives it attention again. It does not override sleep, a closed tab, or your decision to stop early.
Optional browser examples
For a quiet scene, Take a Break Button provides brief visual interactions without a score. For a more active number puzzle, Snake 2048 includes a grid-based Mergecoil mode. Choose deliberately and keep your stopping point. These are the projects this utility was prepared to accompany.
A browser activity does not replace time away from a display when that is what you want. The offscreen option needs no external site.
